Trundle Will Miss Opening Match

Lee Trundle has been virtually ruled out of Saturday's season opener against Northampton, after limping out of the Skewen friendly after barely 30 mins. Last season's top scorer was pulled off after taking a knock to his right knee and immediately disappeared for physiotherapy.

Jackett must now hope that Adrian Forbes, who is only rated 50-50 to recover, can prove his fitness before Saturday's match, or he will be forced to find a new strike partner for Paul Connor. Trundle is joined by Iriekpen and Hylton on the list of those definitely ruled out.
