Swans Return For Fulham's Prattley

Swansea have bid £60k for Fulham midfielder Darren Prattley after initial confusion between the two clubs over a loan deal last weekend. Fulham had thought that Swansea's enquiry was in fact in relation to a loan deal and not the permanent move that the South Wales club are now pushing through.

Prattley spent the end of last season on loan at Brentford, where he impressed immensely as the Bees charged into the playoffs. Chairman Huw Jenkins believes that Coleman may well be willing to let a player go, who has yet to really break into the first-team setup at Craven Cottage and will add something new to the Swansea midfield.

"Kenny rates Darren very highly so we've clarified the situation by making a firm offer", Jenkins told the Evening Post. "Chris Coleman said originally he wanted to review things further in pre-season, but hopefully he will say yes now. If not we'll keep trying and something may happen in the long term rather than the short".
