Oli's Vetch Dream Appears To Be Over

Dennis Oli's short stay at the Vetch appears to be coming to an end after Kenny Jackett admitted that his contract is unlikely to be extended. Oli has made just one appearance as a subsitute against Northampton, since agreeing terms just days before the season began.

The young striker joined Swansea on an initial one week trial, but after impressing in a number of pre-season encounters, found himself with the offer of a contract. Oli was originally offered a rolling monthly contract with a view to a longer, permanent deal.

Unfortunately, this looks extremely unlikely now, especially due to the fact that Oli appears to be behind Connor, Trundle, Thomas, Forbes and Nugent in the striking positions. Supporters may feel that Oli wasn't given a chance to prove himself during his short stay, but Jackett clearly feels that the youngster is better off elsewhere.
