Match Preview - Swans v Bradford City Liberty Stadium Saturday 9th September 2006 Kick off 3.00pm

Dennis Lawrence has recovered from his groin injury and should go straight back into the team for tomorrow's match with Bradford City at the Liberty Stadium, kick off 3.00pm.

Swans now only have two players unavailable for selection, Owain Tudur-Jones who should be available for selection in October, and Garry Monk. Monk recently underwent a second operation on his knee and is aiming for a March comeback.

"The operation is the second step towards fitness for Garry," said Swansea physio Richie Evans. "The recovery time is usually five-and-a-half to six months so that's the target now. "It's a long road back, but he's in good spirits."

The Swans are also boosted by the return of striker Leon Knight after a one-match suspension, and he will probably start the game tomorrow. His choice of striking partner will come from either Bayo or Trundle, and I expect the out-of-sorts Rory Fallon to start from the subs bench. Shaun MacDonald is also available for the match after playing for the Wales Under-21 side in their 0-0 with Turkey last Saturday, and has a good chance of starting the game after his impressive performance in his last league match against Leyton Orient.

Akinfenwa, who surely deserves the chance to start the Bradford game, revealed today that he very nearly joined Gillingham last Thursday, but both clubs couldn't agree terms.

Another player who could have been playing for another club, but this time in the Premiership, Dean Windass, will lead the line for the Bantams tomorrow, after Bradford turned down a £500,000 bid from Wigan before last week's transfer deadline day. Bradford have some injury worries with defender Matt Clarke unable to travel because of a groin strain and Ben Muirhead still out with a hernia problem.

Tomorrow's referee is Ian Williamson from Berkshire. He has refereed the Swans on 4 occasions; the Swans have never lost when he has been in charge! Let's pray this continues!!

Swans- Possible: Gueret, Tate, Lawrence, Izzy, Austin, Britton, Pratley, Robinson, MacDonald, Knight, Akinfenwa. Subs, from: Oakes, Watt, O'Leary, Trundle, Way, Butler, Fallon.
