Martinez's Future Unsure...

Robbie Martinez's future under Kenny Jackett appears unsure after the Swansea manager gambled on dropping him from the entire team for Tuesday night's Rochdale fixture. Martinez had started Saturday's season opener against Northampton, but was subbed half way through the second half as Swansea pushed for an equaliser. Now BBC Sport are reporting that Martinez was dropped from the squad altogther for the Rochdale victory and his future could well be in the balance.

Martinez's absence was thought to have been due to a minor knock in training, but it appears that the club captain was removed for an entirely different reason. Both O'Leary (started) and Fisken (sub) were chosen ahead of the Spaniard, who was today described by Rochdale manager Parkin as Swansea "most dangerous player", and the next few days may prove interesting for fresh developments.
