Malian Trialist Arrives In South Wales

Swansea have taken little-known Malian midfielder Noe Sissoko on trial with a view to a permanent deal. Sissoko is a free agent after being released by French Second Division side Creteil earlier in the month and will be desperately hoping to sufficiently impress and win a full-time contract with the League One leaders.

Sissoko failed to set the world alight at Creteil after signing from French National side FC Drouais on a free transfer last christmas, lasting just nine months before his contract was terminated. Now Sissoko is just the latest in a number of trialists that have arrived in South Wales this summer, with the rejected including Australian duo Ian Ramsey and Matthew Gordon and Jean-Paul Kamudimba Kalala, who famously scored the goal for Grimsby that knocked Tottenham out of the League Cup on Tuesday.
