League Two Suffers First Managerial Casualty!!

Last updated : 06 August 2004 By Richard Evans
Each year, League Two claims numerous managerial scalps - just look at Swansea's record over the last few seasons! However, no-one could have
predicted that one of the 24 League Two managers would have left only hours before the start of the season and before a ball had even been kicked.

Mark Wright has left Chester City on the eve of a new era for the club after two and a half years in charge. Neither Wright nor the club are willing to comment on any reasons behind the move, although the media are speculating that the whole affair may have something to do with striker Clare's potential move to Boston. It is also understood that Assistant Manager Dave Moss has also left the club.

Just where this shock news leaves Chester is anyone's guess. Just hours before their return to the football league against Notts County, they find themselves managerless and in turmoil. Nevertheless, the first manager of the season has left his club and the football merry-go-round is now officially underway once more!!
