Injury Crisis Eases Off

After last week's injury farce, Swansea are only expecting four players to miss Saturday's clash against Northampton. Defenders Izzy Iriekpen and Leon Hylton are definitely out, with Lee Trundle also rated very unlikely to recover in time for Swansea's first ever fixture in Coca Cola League Two. Last season's top scorer is set to play in a friendly against Skewen tonight, in his first action of pre-season, after being ruled out for the last few weeks with a damaged knee.

The fourth player who could miss Saturday's match is new signing Adrian Forbes, who picked up an injury in Swansea's Den Haag fixture a week ago. Jackett originally rated Forbes as 50-50 to recover and will be hoping for a bit of luck on that front this week.

All other injuries have either cleared up or are "healing very nicely" after last week's sensational news that twelve senior players had picked up knocks. Connor, Maylett and Monk are all fit, while Oli, Austin and Fisken should recover in time for Saturday's big match.
