"If They Want Him, They'll Have To Pay For Him"

Despite reports stating that on-loan Marc Goodfellow would be remaining at the club for a second month, the winger has returned to Ashton Gate after being recalled by Bristol City. Following an injury crisis in Bristol, manager Brian Tinnion declared that as yet no bid had been received by the South Wales outfit and "If they want him, they'll have to pay for him".

This latest news will come as a real blow to Kenny Jackett's plans ahead of his side's crunch encounter with Yeovil on New Years Day. Goodfellow has been in supreme form of late, providing much-needed width and pace to Swansea's late flank and scoring four goals in the process - including match-winners against Oxford and Stockport in the FA Cup.

Local media are reporting that Kenny Jackett is preparing a package for Goodfellow, although whether Swansea's offer will meet City's valuation of the player remains to be seen. Nevertheless, it is extremely unlikely that any deal will be thrashed out by the weekend and it appears that Andy Robinson will be reinstated in his familiar left-sided role.
