Histon v Swans FA Cup 3rd Round

Last updated : 13 January 2009 By Tycoch Jack

Histon chairman, Gareth Baldwin, has apologised to Swansea City for accusing the Swans of attempting to postpone the original game on January 3rd.

Speaking to the BBC Baldwin said; "I would like to apologise for being a little bit too outspoken. It's genuinely not how I am but on the day I was disappointed and upset."

The Swans are likely to make several changes for tonight's game against Histon, who currently lie second in the Blue Square Premier League. Jason Scotland may be rested, and Joe Allen and Darren Pratley are both holding slight injuries and may not be risked ahead of Saturday's encounter with Reading at the Liberty Stadium. Both Owain Tudur-Jones and Kristian O'Leary could start in midfield and there may be a rare chance for Bauza to start up front, as Brandy has returned to Man Utd. In defence, Albert Serran is likely to replace Ashley Williams, who seemed to be carrying a slight knock in our 2-0 win at Burnley last Saturday.

My team for tonight is: De Vries; Rangel; Monk; Serran; Tate; Butler; Owain Tudur-Jones; Britton; Dyer; Gomez; Pintado. Subs (from): Scotland; O'Leary; Bauza; Gower; Bessone; Orlandi; MacDonald.
