'HANDS OF TRUNDLE' SAYS ROBERTO

After so much conjecture over the last few days as to whether Lee Trundle will join Bristol City or not; Swans Manager Roberto Martinez and Swans Chairman Huw Jenkins have at last broken their silence on the matter.

Speaking to Swans Online Roberto Martinez said "Lee Trundle is Swansea City through and through."

"Especially in respect of what he has done in the past and I expect him to increase that over the next few seasons."

"I'm just looking for Trunds to enjoy his football."

When asked if he wanted Trundle to remain, Martinez replied, "Yes, of course. What he has done at this football club is part of Swansea City and it is as simple as that."

"I'm just proud when other managers are interested in any of my players and I think that's the way to look at it."

"If there is any speculation about my players, I really enjoy it."

"We are in a fantastic position where we don't need to sell."

"When you are chasing other players and you can't get them, that's a situation I don't want to be in."

Speaking to the South Wales Evening Post Huw Jenkins said Lee Trundle is an important part of Roberto Martinez's squad and there's no reason why we would want to see him move to another club.

"His influence on and off the field has been very important to the club.

"He has scored a lot of goals since moving here and our viewpoint is still the same - we don't intend selling any player who Roberto Martinez feels is an integral part of his squad.

"There will always be speculation about players, but we want our best players playing for Swansea City and helping the club get into the Championship."

This is great news for Swans fans and let's hope that Lord Lee will be with us for a while yet.
