Garry Monk is hoping to be available for selection by the time The Swans play Reading on Boxing Day.
The Swans' central defender has been sidelined since sustaining a calf injury during the 2-0 away win against Scunthorpe United in October.
"They told me I could now press on and I'm hoping to be back training with the lads by the end of the week." he told the South Wales Evening Post.
