West Bromwich Albion are reported to have entered the race to sign Swans midfielder Ferrie Bodde. Baggies manager Tony Mowbray is said to be keen to add the midfielder to his premiership squad.

The new interest in the hugely influential player could now firmly spark a bidding war between the Baggies and Derby County, although Swansea City Mad understands that several clubs are interested in Bodde, in particular Sunderland and Reading.

Despite bidding for the player three times, Derby chairman Adam Pearson has yet to have matched the £2 million evaluation put on the former Ado Den Hagg player by Swansea City chairman Huw Jenkins.
