Cardiff-born Gavin Williams was once again the thorn in Swansea City's side, as he scored a late penalty, giving Yeovil all three points. Swansea's mini revival could have been extended had it not been from some fantastic goalkeeping from Yeovil goalkeeper Chris Weale, who saved well from Andy Robinson, Paul Connor and Kevin Nugent - leaving the visitors empty handed.

New signing Andy Gurney found himself on the bench, while Alan Tate was relegated to the stand as Jackett looked to continue's Swansea recent run of decent results. This looked to have worked as Swansea dominated the opening period and deserved more from a hard-working 45 minutes. Chris Weale made two fantastic saves from both Andy Robinson and Izzy Iriekpen in the first 25 minutes, before Lee Trundle saw an effort roll agonisingly past the far post.

Gurney replaced the injured Connor just moments before half time and Swansea were looking odds-on to continue their impressive run. However, Yeovil manager Gary Johnson made some changes of his own and it was the home-side that began to stamp their authority on the game.

Yeovil forced a number of chances before the impressive O'Leary was replaced by Brad Maylett, who was then himself substituted just fifteen minutes later after sustaining a minor knock. Assistant Manager Kevin Nugent took to the field and immediately missed Swansea's best chance of the second period, as he squandered a glorious chance from a one-on-one.

With the game beginning to even out again, a clumsy tackle from Garry Monk gave the referee no alternative than to grant the home-side a penalty. Monk was dismissed for the professional foul and Gavin Williams slotted the ball home and gave Yeovil all three points.

Nevertheless, a decent performance from Swansea against decent opposition, particularly in the first half, meant a defeat was a slightly undeserved result as they attempted to keep their run together. At least the Swans have showed in recent games that they are willing to fight and perhaps this season may still prove to be a success.
