Trundle Suspension Withdrawn

Lee Trundle will be available for Swansea's next three matches after a panel decided to wipe out the striker's potential three-game suspension. Trundle received a straight red card during Saturday's 2-2 draw with Rochdale, which would have normally seen the offending player serve a three-game ban.

Swansea will be delighted with the outcome, following their appeal against Saturday's decision, which means that their top goalscorer will now be available for the crucial promotion fixtures against Northampton, Macclesfield and Cheltenham. The panel announced that they believed the red card on Saturday to be punishment enough and that no suspension would therefore be needed.

However, Rochdale's appeal against Paul Tait's red card from the same fixture has been turned down. Tait was sent off just moments after Trundle for raising an arm in the direction of Kevin McLeod, but will now miss the next three matches through suspension.
