Trundle Could Miss Dutch Trip

Kenny Jackett's pre-season plans took a knock today, when Swansea announced that there is a major possibility that Lee Trundle will not be travelling to Holland for the pre-season tour. Trundle's initial knee injury was only supposed to keep him out of Saturday's friendly at Worcester, but will now set last season's top scorer back by at least another week. However, Swansea have confirmed that trialists Willy Gueret and Dennis Oli will travel with the squad to Holland.

Izzy Iriekpen and Leon Hylton will both definitely remain in South Wales during the Swans' Dutch tour, while Kevin Austin's ankle injury should see him back in soon, but not before Saturday.

Kenny Jackett was also dealt more bad news, with winger Bradley Maylett missing tonight's friendly at Barry with a minor groin strain. Maylett's withdrawal increases the Swans injury list to five senior players and supporters will be hoping that this isn't the sign of things to come in the new season.

Jackett is likely to hand forgotten trialist Dwayne Courtney his first appearance for Swansea in tonight's clash at Barry Town. Debuts for goalkeepers Rayner and Ormshaw may also occur.

Definitely Out: Trundle, Iriekpen, Hylton, Austin, Maylett.
