TRUNDLE A DOUBT AS SWANS HEAD FOR LONDON

Last updated : 12 September 2006 By Knightfever

Swans play Brentford tonight with a doubt hanging over Lee Trundle's fitness. Trundle picked up a knee injury in last Saturday's 1-0 win over Bradford at the Liberty, and the Swans will have to wait to see if the swelling goes down in time for the game.

After an encouraging performance last Saturday the Swans will aim to take their unbeaten run to five games against a Bees side who are undefeated this season. In fact the last team to beat Brentford were the Swans in last season's play off semi-final at Griffin Park. Darren Pratley will tonight return to the ground where he spent most of last season on loan from Fulham.

Leon Knight is likely to replace the injured Trundle in what will probably be the only change from last Saturday's starting line-up. There is also a doubt over Tom Butler's fitness, but he should be ok to retain his place in the side.

Tonight's referee is Graham Poll who most of us will remember from his World Cup fiasco, which in one game he showed a yellow card to the same player three times! This is the first time he has refereed the Swans since season 2003/04 when he took charge of our home game against Cheltenham which we drew 0-0

Swans- Possible: Gueret, Amankwah,Tate, Lawrence, Izzy, Austin, Britton, Pratley, Butler, Knight, Akinfenwa. Subs, from: Oakes, Watt, O'Leary, Robinson, Way,Fallon, MacDonald.
