Thomas Injury Nightmare Continues....

Kenny Jackett has admitted his concern at James Thomas' recent injury nightmare. Following a knee operation that was expected to rule the striker out for only two weeks, Thomas has managed only one brief period of training in the last five weeks and remains frustrated at his situation.

James Thomas became a Swansea legend by scoring a last-day hat-tick against Hull City in May 2002 to retain his side's league status. However, since that legendary day, Thomas has been continually dogged by injury and has played only a handful of fixtures. Thomas' latest injury arrived after the striker complained of irritation in his knee, with Jackett deciding that surgery was the best way forward.

However, Jackett told the Evening Post that he has "no idea" when Thomas will return to full-time training and that he is almost as frustrated as the striker himself. "He came and trained outside with us on Sunday but as soon as he did anything other than straight-line running, he started feeling an irritation". Understandably, in the words of Jackett, Thomas is "feeling pretty down" at the moment and with his contract set for expiry in the summer...time is running out for the forgotten man.
