Tate and Tremmel released

Defender Tate played a key role in the Swans' rise through the divisions, including the game that secured their Football league status in 2003 while on loan from Manchester United.

The 32-year-old signed permanently in 2004 and helped the Swans to promotions in 2005, 2008 and 2011 but has seen his role diminish in recent seasons, having loan spells at Leeds, Yeovil, Aberdeen and Crewe.

Goalkeeper Tremmel joined the Swans in 2011 from Red Bull Salzburg and has served as back up to Michel Vorm and Lukasz Fabianski during his time in South Wales, acting as starting keeper as the club won the Capital One Cup in 2013.

Fellow goalkeeper David Cornell has also been released along with Rory Donnelly, Tom Atyeo, Corey Francis, Giancarlo Gallifuoco, Joseph Jones, Kurtis March, Gareth Owen, Scott Tancock and Curtis Obeng.
