Swans TV To Be Shown In New Stadium

The Football Leaue have agreed a deal with Sports TV that will lead to club specific "In-Stadia Television Programmes" being shown in grounds around the country for the next five years. This means that Swansea will have its own club-branded programming, that is updated on a weekly basis, shown around the new 20,000 seater stadium by the end of 2005.

Sports TV will provide large plasma and widescreen televisions for supporters to watch the five hour presentation near bars and in hospitality areas around the ground. The programme itself is likely to feature a mixture of historic footage, as well as a blend of latest up-to-date information and will be shown prior to kick-off, during half-time and at full-time in hospitality areas.

The scheme will be funded entirely by local advertisers who wish to have their brands associated with the presentation and will not cost the football league a penny. This will no doubt improve the professional look of the new stadium and give Swansea fans added entertainment in the bars before kick-off.
