top five shortlist last week and many believed that the tough-tackling midfielder was in with a fine chance of winning the award.

However, it now appears that the Port Talbot-born midfielder may have to battle it out with fellow teammates Kevin Austin and Andy Robinson for the award, that is set to be announced within the next few days. The two Swansea players have received a barrage of votes from League Two spectators and now join O'Leary, Southend's Adam Barrett and Northampton's Martin Smith on the leaderboard.

Lee Trundle has been a past winner of this monthly award, which is highly coveted by players due to the fact that it is voted for by the fans. If you have yet to vote, you may do so by accessing the official website of the PFA, or by clicking here.
