Swans Miss Out On Easton

Wycombe Wanderers have today confirmed the signing of free agent Clint Easton. The ex-Norwich midfielder agreed terms after an initial trial in the South East.

Media in the South East of England, including the Bucks Free Press, today confirmed the rumours that Jackett had made an 11th hour attempt to snatch the talented midfielder from under the noses of Wycombe. The rumours had begun on Thursday, with several independent websites reporting that Swansea were interested in Easton. Many Swans fans were somewhat suprised to hear of Swansea's interest, as nothing was reported in the local media.

This move may have seemed somewhat unlikely for two main reasons. Firstly, that Jackett had publicly stated that he only needs a goalkeeper and is not looking for anymore outfield players and secondly, that Swansea usually announce their transfer targets from the rooftops for all to hear.

It would seem that todays confirmation of Swansea's interest is a sign that perhaps the door is still open for talented outfield players to join Jackett's revolution.
