Swans Linked To Northern Irish International

Swansea are allegedly considering a move for veteran Northern Irish International Mark Williams, after the defender was released on a free transfer by MK Dons. The Daily Star claims that Williams has been in touch with the Swans over a free-transfer that is likely to combine some form of coaching role at the club.

After starting the season as first choice in the MK Dons defence, Williams has suffered from a succession of injuries, meaning his last appearance occurred on Boxing Day against Doncaster Rovers. After struggling to fight his way into the first team since December, Williams opted to make a loan move to struggling League Two outfit Rushden, whom he aided in avoiding relegation.
