Second Trialist Joins Swansea

Yet another trialist has joined Swansea in a bid to win a new contract - the latest being Plymouth striker Blair Sturrock. Blair is the son of Sheffield Wednesday and ex-Plymouth and Southampton boss Paul and has grown frustrated at the lack of first team opportunities at this current club. Sturrock has already undertaken trials at Northampton and Bristol Rovers, but despite being asked to return by the latter, has decided to begin training with the Swans.

Sturrock moved from Scotland to Plymouth in 2001, having represented both Brechin City and Scottish Premier outfit Dundee United. However, the striker has grown frustrated at his lack of first team action, after making twenty-four league appearances in last season's championship-winning side...all as a substitute!

Despite his lack of first-team opportunities, Blair Sturrock is a relatively popular member of the Plymouth squad and many had hoped that he would prove himself this season, after the departure of his father to the Premiership. With Jackett known to be searching for another capable striker, Sturrock will be hoping that he can finally prove himself in South Wales.
