Rodgers seeks Swans victory salve

Swansea City manager Brendan Rodgers says they will not let their surprise loss at Scunthorpe unsettle them ahead of facing Watford at home on Tuesday.A 1-0 defeat at the relegation-haunted Iron on Saturday saw the second placed Swans lose ground on Championship leaders Queens Park Rangers.

Fortunately for Rodgers' side only QPR and Leeds United of the top six teams managed wins at the weekend.

"We've no time to dwell, the next game comes round very quickly," he said.

"We're refocused and concentrating on that now [playing Watford] and we'll arrive at the game with a good attitude."

Although QPR are eight points clear, only five points separate Swansea from Leeds in the last play-off spot.

"You've got to be please because we opened the door on Saturday for one or two teams to jump ahead and they didn't take that opportunity.

Kemy Augustien will go on loan to Crystal Palace until the end of the season

"But it's not something we want to do too often if you want to arrive where you want to be - in the top two - then you've got to win games.

"Until it's mathematically impossible every team is going to fight to get the highest position they can.

"What's we've got to make sure is that we're in the race and obviously at the minute we're well in the race."

Darren Pratley is back in the Swansea squad for the clash with Rodgers' former club Watford, having missed the Scunthorpe loss with a stomach bug.

But his fellow midfielder Kemy Augustien has joined Crystal Palace on loan until the end of the season.

"Kemy will go on loan to Crystal Palace until the end of the season, with a call-back [option]," Rodgers added.

"It's one where I just felt he needs games. We're getting into the stage of the season now where there might not be too many changes.

"So we've sent him out to get some game time and we can monitor him to see what he's like in a run of games."
