Fellow promotion-chasers Leeds visit the Liberty Stadium on Saturday, but Rodgers is only looking at teams who sit above the Swans.
"We prefer to be top, but we'll chase whoever's in front of us," he said.
"At the minute, there's one team in front.
"Only a few weeks ago they were 10 points clear of us, now they're five and I think that's the way it's going to be between now and the end of the season.
"All I know is that we will do everything to hunt whoever is in front of us down and in this moment QPR are ahead of us.
"So we go into every game to keep the chase on and put as much pressure on other teams as much as we can.
"There's probably many more changes to be made in that top bracket but certainly for us, we just want to stay there as long as we can."
Swansea have already faced QPR twice this season drawing 0-0 at home and losing 4-0 at Loftus Road on Boxing Day.
Just 10 points separate the top six teams with Leeds lying in sixth, looking to to the double over Swansea this season.

Nottingham Forest and Norwich City are also in the promotion hunt and have to visit the Liberty Stadium before the end of the season.
But Rodgers believes Swansea have what it takes to last the distance.
"Consistency is important and for the majority of the season, we've been very consistent, been very consistent in our attitude in games, we've always gone into the game with a real bravery to play football," he said.
"We've slipped up on one or two occasions but we've bounced back and that's the mark of the best teams.
"We lost to Cardiff in a game where it may have put other teams on a bad run for a month or a couple of months, but we bounced back the next game and that showed the mentality and intensity to which our focus is on doing well."
