Brendan Rodgers insists Swansea City's total football approach is best-suited to a Premier League promotion battle.Swansea City's 3-0 demolition of rivals Leeds United on Saturday, their fourth successive victory, was a statement of intent by Rodgers' promotion chasers.
And Rodgers is sure his second-placed Swansea's "possession with penetration" mantra is best when the pressure comes on for a place back in the top-flight.
"It always suits football teams coming into this part of the season," he said.
Swansea earned huge plaudits with the dominance and style of their 3-0 triumph over play-off chasing Leeds at The Liberty Stadium.
Scott Sinclair scored twice, taking his season's tally to 21 goals in all competitions, and Luke Moore converted the other as Swansea maintained the pressure on Championship leaders Queens Park Rangers who still lead the pack by five points.
Swansea's free-flowing football was, at times, sublime against Leeds and their finishing clinical as Rodgers' emphatically laid down a performance marker for their promotion push.
Cardiff City, Norwich City and Nottingham Forest are chasing the Swans as the Welsh hope to stay in the top two and secure automatic promotion to the top-flight after a 28 year absence.

Swansea not just scored three goals against lead but secured their 17th clean sheet of the season to keep out the Championship's top-scorers.
"We showed we can handle the pressure," said Rodgers.
"This is time of the season where there is not so many games left and its is very tight so the ability to handle pressure is important.
"And you see how we play, our fluidity, movement and exceptional passing.
"But we'll be the same. This is how we play and it always suits football teams coming into this part of the season.
"We've been playing like this for the best part of the year but the difference is it in front of TV cameras."
Swansea's stunning win was also in front of a record Liberty Stadium crowd of 19,309 that were treated to a footballing lesson of how to dominate your opponent - and Swansea had star midfielders Leon Britton and Darren Pratley on the bench.
And two-goal hero Sinclair, who is now joint Championship top-scorer with Watford's Danny Graham on 16 league goals, insisted: "I think if we play like that every week, we'll be up there.
"It was a great team performance, it was great to keep a clean sheets and create some many chances.
"But we must keep kicking on and keep going until the season is done.
"There is no added pressure. Everyone is getting excited but there are still 12 games to go so we still have a long way to go.
"We just have to keep winning then hopefully we can get into those top spots at the end of the season."
Rodgers has bemoaned the lack of recognition his side attracts throughout the country despite their refreshing style.
"No one really talks about Swansea and we are the under-dogs," admitted Sinclair.
"But maybe some people might have a word to say now."
