Pritchard On Target For Welsh Youngsters

Last updated : 16 August 2005 By Richard Evans
Mark Pritchard opened his Welsh Under-21's account with a goal in their 3-1 victory over Malta. The young Swansea striker ran onto a neat through-pass before lobbing the ball over the on-rushing goalkeeper to hand the team a 2-0 lead and helped the Welsh U21's score three goals for the first time in nine years.

Pritchard is viewed as an excellent prospect for the future by the Swansea management team, who are hopeful that the youngster can fulfil his potential at the club. The striker put in an energetic performance in Llanelli and was rewarded with a fine finish that will keep him very much in Kenny Jackett's thoughts.
