Pratley Joins Brentford

Swansea target Darren Pratley has joined League One rivals Brentford on a five month loan deal. Despite the fact that Pratley was present in the stadium to watch the South Wales club demolish Barnsley 3-1 on Monday, the Premiership midfielder has returned to the club where he enjoyed a spell on loan last season.

Missing out on Darren Pratley will prompt more anger from supporters directed towards Chairman Huw Jenkins' involvement in transfer dealings. Despite Brentford claiming that they had tracked him all summer, it is understood that the Bees only came in with an 11th hour offer after hearing Jenkins's comments to the media about the Fulham midfielder's transfer being a "done deal". It clearly wasn't.

Nevertheless, with just over 24 hours remaining until the transfer deadline, Swansea have missed out on yet another major target and could find themselves without any fresh recruits on Thurday morning.
