Postponement Drops Swans To Third

A late downpour in South Wales forced Saturday'a match official to postpone Swansea's clash with Darlington due to a waterlogged pitch. Despite weather warnings, the official had originally deemed the pitch fit for play but changed his decision at a last-minute pitch inspection - just an hour before kick-off. The decision was hardly ideal for the numerous supporters who had come from far afield and for the Darlington coaches, but nothing could be done as the heavens opened.

In the meantime, Swansea lost their spot at the top of League Two due to two late goals in Lincoln and Scunthorpe. Scunthorpe grabbed the top spot courtesy of a 1-0 victory over fellow promotion rivals Yeovil Town, while Leyton Orient's 89th minute winner at Lincoln moved them above Swansea on goal difference for the second time this season.

No date has yet been announced for the rematch.
