Plymouth Tracking Izzy...

Swansea centre-back Izzy Iriekpen has been linked with a move to the Championship, with Leicester, Stoke and Plymouth all said to be interested. Iriekpen is currently out-of-contract in South Wales and despite being offered a new contract, the club fears that the lure of the Championship may be too much for the ex-West Ham defender.

Iriekpen joined the club on a free transfer under Brian Flynn in September 2003 and soon became a regular first choice in the centre of defence. Izzy has been the preferred partner to influential defender Garry Monk in the centre of defence this year and it is thought that his performances, particularly the live Sky FA Cup match against Reading, has caught the attention of numerous Championship managers.

Wales On Sunday claim that this news is more than just a mere rumour and with Izzy free to discuss terms with whoever he chooses, Iriekpen's future is now out of the club's hands.
