After much media speculation over the past few weeks both Gorka Pintado and Jordi Gomez have at last signed for the Swans taking our Spanish contingent to 5 with possibly more to come.
Pintado, age 30, arrives on a long-term performance related contract from Granada, who play in the Segunda B division in Spain. Gomez, age 23, has signed on a one-year loan deal from La Liga side Espanyol.
Roberto Martinez was delighted with his twin capture and said;
"I can assure you that we've captured two quality signings,'' beamed Roberto. "They've got Championship quality written all over them.
"We've been watching the two players for the last two seasons and I'm absolutely delighted we've managed to persuade them to commit to Swansea City. "They are typical Swansea City players in terms of quality, skill, attitude and desire.''
