"Outrageous" Lob Will Impress Lovejoy No End!

Swansea striker has already earned national acclaim and a lower league cult following, after his regular appearances on Soccer AM’s showboating sections. However, Saturday’s defeat at Southend saw what will arguably become Trundle’s most outrageous contribution to the Sky Sports show yet…and boost his profile even further!

After Swansea conceded their fourth goal of the game, Trundle attempted an incredibly outrageous lob straight from the kick-off. Standing a full 50 yards back, the star striker watched as his long-range lob bounced back off of the bar, with the keeper beaten.

Swansea supporters behind the goal could hardly believe what they were witnessing – even more so after Scott Fitzgerald missed the rebound with only the keeper to beat! After his latest exploits, Trundle will more than likely feature heavily on Saturday’s latest episode of the award-winning show and explained his thought process to the Western Mail.

"There was a bit of commotion behind the goal and I don't think the keeper wanted to go right back on his line. He was a few yards off and that's why I tried it. It was a good strike and when I saw him pedalling back I thought it had a chance of going in. But it's come back off the crossbar."

And so the latest in a long-line of fancy tricks for the cameras. Trundle continues to keep the Swansea faithful coming back in their droves with his cheeky skills…the only question being, what will he attempt next?!
