One game at a time for Britton

Just eight matches stand between Swans and top-flight football for the first time since 1983 but Britton is all too aware of the old adage of taking one game at a time.

Swans travel to resurgent bottom club Preston this weekend before facing promotion rivals Norwich in a crucial tussle at the Liberty Stadium next Saturday.

But midfielder Britton told City`s official website: "We can`t even think as far as Norwich next week. What`s the point of beating Norwich at home if we don`t get a result at Preston on Saturday?

"It`s going to be a tough test because their change in manager has had its desired effect with two straight wins. Although they are still bottom they`ll be looking at their home games for maximum points. He (Phil Brown) will get his team going and they`ll be a different proposition to the one we played at the Liberty at the start of the season.

"But we`ve got to be confident because we are where we are in the league for a reason. It`s going to be tough but we go into every game thinking we can win it."
