Oli To Join League Two Rivals

Ex-Swansea striker Dennis Oli has wasted no time in finding himself a new contract, with Sky Sports reporting that Cambridge United have tied him to a monthly deal. Oli has been on trial with the U's for the last week and manager Renard has gone on record stating that he is a "player that Cambridge needs at the moment".

Oli initially joined Swansea on trial over the summer and was eventually offered a one month contract. Unfortunately for the ex-QPR striker, Oli found appearances limited, playing just once as a substitute against Northampton on the opening day of the season. Just days before Swansea faced QPR in the Carling Cup, Jackett announced that Oli would not be retained and the powerful forward was released on a free transfer.

It is understood that Oli will sign a one month contract at Cambridge and will be offered a further deal should he impress. This means that the striker will be eligible to play in tomorrow's League Two fixture.
