Swansea City captain Gary Monk will be sidelined for up to four months after results of an MRI scan have shown extensive knee ligament damage. Monk is not expected to return until Christmas time.

Swans squad will be depleted for the match at Oldham on Saturday. As well as Monk, Swans will be without Andy Robinson, who has ankle ligament damage, and Alan Tate due to suspension. Darren Pratley is expected to take over the captaincy from Monk for Saturday's match.
