Martinez Wins Third Successive Award

Club captain Roberto Martinez has won his third successive "Swan Of The Match" award for his vibrant display against Mansfield last Friday. Martinez controlled the midfield for Swansea and hardly put a foot wrong as the South Wales club rose to become League Two leaders. The Spaniard is now beginning to find top form after an indifferent start to the season and it appears that Swansea supporters are beginning to recognise this...as Martinez has topped the poll in all of his last three matches.
Martinez eventually won with a record 46% of the votes, with Kevin Austin the only other Swan to achieve double figures (12%). The skipper now tops the table with Willy Gueret, who both have three awards each.
