Martinez Takes Award For Rushden Victory

Club Captain Roberto Martinez put in a captain's display in Saturday's 1-0 victory over Rushden and Diamonds and impressed YOU as Swansea's top performer. Martinez took a whopping 34% of the vote, with defenders Andy Gurney and Kevin Austin runners up.

Martinez suffered an indifferent start to the new campaign and was forced to watch on from the stands as Swansea struggled through their opening fixtures. However, after a 3-0 mauling at QPR in the League Cup, Jackett reinstalled his skipper into the heart of midfield and has watched as the Spaniard's performances have grown stronger every week.

Martinez's performance on Saturday was arguably his best of the season so far and the Sky pundit has now won his first "Swan Of The Match" award.
