Left Winger Should Be Top Priority

Last updated : 15 November 2004 By Richard Evans
YOU believe that Kenny Jackett's top priority in the transfer market should be a left winger...shown by Swans MAD's latest poll results. Over 50% of voters believed that acquiring a left winger is crucial to the squad, with 23% favouring the addition of a new striker. Click here to see the full results.

The good news for those that voted is that Kenny Jackett appears to be edging closer to landing a new left-sided winger and the club are fully expecting a new addition to the payroll by the end of the week. One potential target is Bristol City's Marc Goodfellow, who appears to be favouring a move to South Wales after crunch talks with his manager. Also linked in the local media with a move are Cheltenham's Grant McCann and Rochdale's Leo Bertos.

Andy Robinson, who currently occupies the left-sided berth in the Swansea midfield, has also admitted that a new winger will shortly be arriving. Robinson claimed in a local newspaper that Kenny Jackett had warned him that a new player would be arriving to increase competition on Swansea's left flank.
