Laudrup satisfied with pre-season

The Liberty Stadium contest proved to be the proverbial game of two halves. Swansea were outplayed by their Bundesliga opponents during the first half and trailed 2-0 at the break thanks to goals from Christian Gentner and Vedad Ibisevic.

Swansea recovered thanks to a double from Danny Graham and Nathan Dyer's deflected cross put them ahead, only for substitute Raphael Holzhauser to earn Stuttgart a draw. "The fans like a lot of goals but I was not that happy after the first 45 minutes," Laudrup said.

Laudrup admitted he had been disappointed with the first-half display, but was pleased with the reaction shown by his players in their final run-out before next weekend's Barclays Premier League opener at QPR.

Laudrup added: "But when things are not working out as you would like you can learn from it.

"We gave them too much space in the first half and we were not well positioned, and they could move the ball easily through midfield and on the wings.

"On the two goals we could have done better. But that's why we play these games.

"I was pleased with the reaction in the second half, we had much better tempo.

"We had better possession and we created five or six chances and scored three goals and could have had a fourth. Obviously you would like to win but it was a perfect game to end our pre-season."
