Jenkins- Martinez deserves fans respect

Swansea chairman Huw Jenkins has urged the club's travelling army of 4,500 supporters to show former boss Roberto Martinez the respect he believes the Spaniard deserves in their Carling Cup fourth-round tie at Wigan. Martinez comes up against his former employers for the first time since quitting 16 months ago for the lure of Premier League football at the DW Stadium. Jenkins, speaking on www.swanseacity.net, said: "From my personal point of view, Roberto deserves a good reception. This football club has come a long way in the last 10 years and we've all got to realise that managers and players will keep moving on to different clubs for whatever reason. "You can't take away what he achieved for this football club as a player or manager. Our aim over the next few years is to join him in the Premier League and give our fans a game like Tuesday's week in, week out."
