Jenkins Involved In Another Blooper??

Last updated : 26 August 2005 By Richard Evans
Questions will once again be raised as to the professionalism of Swansea Chairman Huw Jenkins after Yeovil gave their side of the story regarding the transfer of Lee Johnson. Yeovil's account of the last few days is very different from that of Jenkins and it appears that the Swansea supremo may have once again been less than accurate with the truth.

Yeovil claim that Huw Jenkins made a six-figure bid for Johnson a few days ago - an offer that was immediately turned down by the Huish Park outfit. "Since that phone conversation the Swansea Chairman has chosen to go public with the story", Gary Johnson told the official site, "...which has obviously alerted everybody, including Lee". "Since then there have been no further discussions despite our Chairman John Fry leaving messages for the Swansea Chairman to contact him to clarify the situation".

Therefore, it would appear that Jenkins has added the Lee Johnson saga to the unprofessional dealings over Andy Burgess and Grant Holt. In fact, it appears that the club were nowhere near signing Lee Johnson, as the Chairman had us believe, and that this was just more transfer speculation. But why?!!!!!
