Jackett Won't Rush In For a Goalkeeper

Swans manager Kenny Jackett has attempted to bring numerous goalkeepers to the Vetch over the course of the summer. The ex-QPR assistant manager has recently been running the rule over trialist goalkeepers Willy Gueret and Mark Ovendale, but has stated that if neither are right for the club, then he would rather wait until October than make a rushed signing for the sake of it now. Jackett has commented that this may eventually become the case if the ex-Millwall and York goalkeepers fail to make the right impression in training.

The prospect of starting a new season with just one goalkeeper will worry Swansea supporters, who will be hoping that a replacement for Roger Freestone is found as soon as possible. Jackett also has other worries on his mind - mainly the fact that he already has three injuries in his squad. Trundle, Iriekpen and the constantly injured Leon Hylton have already picked up problems, with the two latter players set to miss most of pre-season.

QPR have also announced that ticket prices for the League Cup First Round match on August 24th will be priced at £15 for adults and £5 for concessions. The Swans have been allocated 3,000 seats meaning that entrance to the ground is "pay on the gate".
