Jackett: We Need Two New Midfielders...

Swansea manager Kenny Jackett has stated that he is looking to sign two additional midfielders this week, as he looks to bolster his squad for the League One campaign. With the transfer deadline set to close in just eight days, Jackett is keen on adding some fresh blood to his Swansea side, although it looks like he may have missed out on long-term target Gavin Williams.

"He has said the player can go out on loan somewhere", Huw Jenkins told the Evening Post, "...but he has made it known to us that he would like him to play for a Championship side". "Gavin wants to come to us and we want to sign him. The only stumbling block is Alan Pardew".

Meanwhile, rumours of potential other targets continue to fly, with Yeovil's Lee Johnson, Bournemouth's Brian Stock and QPR's Adam Miller all linked with moves to South Wales.
