"It Might Be My Last League Game For Swansea"

Vetch-Field hero Leon Britton has confirmed that his future in South Wales lies in the balance following Swansea's promotion to League One. Britton has been in and out of the squad all year and with his contract up for renewal next week, the fans favourite has admitted that his future could lie away from Swansea, with Leyton Orient already expressing an interest in bringing the midfielder back to London.

Speaking to the Evening Post, Britton stated that no contract had yet been discussed with the club and spoke of his increasing frustration at only being a bit-part player in Swansea's success under Kenny Jackett. "First of all I've got to wait and see if there's a contract on the table...if there is, I'll sit down with the manager and see what he has to say". "I'd played virtually every game since coming to the club up until this season and it's been hard not playing as much...that's something I have to look at".

Many supporters will be sad to see the midfielder leave in the summer, particularly after his dazzling displays under ex-manager Brian Flynn, but would hope that some sort of arrangement between the club and one of it's most popular assets can be reached.
