"We are delighted that he has signed," said Swans boss Paulo Sousa.
"He is a player I have been aware of from his time at Liverpool and with the Austrian international set-up.
"Besian has good characteristics and can play anywhere along the front line so I believe that he will be a great asset.
"He is a young player with good talent but has not played for a long time in competitive football.
"It will take him time to adjust to the intensity of our league.
"But he is now available for selection straight away and we are happy to be able to give him another chance at this level."
