Promotion hero Adrian Forbes has stated that he has no regrets over leaving Luton Town for Swansea last summer and believes that the club can challenge to reach the Championship next season. Forbes' goal after 25 seconds gave Swansea automatic promotion at Gigg Lane on Saturday, yet he had admitted that he has been teased by his ex-teammates, who have told him that he could have been a Championship player by now.

"I'm confident we'll produce the goods in League One", Forbes told the Evening Post, "I hope I don't end up with egg on my face this time next year, but I genuinely believe we can push for promotion". "We're more than capable of beating some of the sides in that league and I think there are players here who will thrive in the higher division".

"The Luton lads have given me some stick and said I could have been a Championship player now if I'd stayed, but I believe I'm at a bigger club", continued Forbes. "I look at my old club Luton and think that player for player, we are equal to them".
