Further Injury Worry For Swans

Kenny Jackett was yesterday told that full-back Sam Ricketts is nursing a "hernia-like" injury that will have to be closely monitored for the remainder of the season. The exact nature of the injury is unknown, although Jackett confirmed that the International full-back has several symptoms similar to that of a hernia.

Kenny Jackett must now keep a close eye on Ricketts for the remainder of the season, in an attempt to keep the full-back playing until mid-May. "We must manage him properly and give him the right rehabilitation to get him through the season", Jackett told BBC Sport Wales.

Ricketts is the latest in a long line of defensive injury worries currently affecting the Swans, with Gary Monk, Kevin Austin and Alan Tate all set to miss tomorrow's Welsh Cup tie with TNS and the latter two looking likely to miss the remainder of March.
