Foreign Pair To Join Swans For Pre-Season

Kenny Jackett has offered Australian youngsters Matthew Gordon and Ian Ramsey pre-season trials, as they attempt to earn full-time deals in the football league. Both players will join up with Swansea for pre-season training next month, so that Jackett may take a closer look before making any decisions.

Not much is known about either of the two players, other than that they were both playing in Australia's "A-League" last season and have attracted the interest of a number of domestic clubs. Matthew Gordon is an attacking midfielder with an eye for goal, who played for Sydney Olympic Sharks last year, whilst Ian Ramsey left Sydney United to look for a deal in Britain.

Gordon has already had an unsuccessful trial with Championship outfit Millwall and both youngsters will be desperate to suitably impress Kenny Jackett in order to secure professional contracts.
