Forbes Out To Prove Point Against Hatters

Adrian Forbes has admitted that he can't wait to play against his old club Luton Town...and prove a point to manager Mike Newell. Since leaving Luton, Forbes' old club have gone on a rampage through League One and are currently sitting nine points clear of the chasing pack after just ten games. "I was disappointed with the way it ended for me there" stated Forbes, "but I think I've got a point to prove to him (Newell), definitely".

Much was expected of Forbes upon arriving at the Vetch Field in the summer, but the pacy winger will be the first to admit that he has so-far failed to re-create the form that earned him 14 goals in League One last season. Speaking to the Western Mail, Forbes puts this mainly down to being repositioned on the right wing and after playing the whole of last season in a striking role, it is taking "a bit of getting used to". However, Forbes is confident that he will soon recapture top form - "I played my first 100 games out there on the right and I feel that I'm improving with each game."

So tonight's fixture against Luton Town may only be another LDV tie for most of the Swansea squad, but for Forbes, its a chance to improve his form and "put one over" his old team-mates at the same time.
